NutraChurn Tips & Tricks

Dial in the perfect NutraChurn texture every time with these simple best-practice steps.

1. Freeze for at Least 16 Hours

Allow your pint to freeze completely solid for a minimum of 16 hours.

2. Warm the Pint Before Spinning (Essential Step)

Before your first spin, warm the outside of the pint to loosen the edges:

• Submerge the pint in hot water for 60 seconds (do not let water go above the rim), or
• Run the outside of the pint under hot water for 45-60 seconds

3. Use “Lite Ice Cream” or “Ice Cream” for the First Spin

These settings typically provide the best base consistency for NutraChurn.

4. Want a Softer, Creamier Texture? Re-Spin

After the initial spin, if you prefer a softer, richer, and creamier texture, simply hit Re-Spin.

5. Want It Creamier? Add 1–2 Tablespoons of Liquid After the First Spin

If the first spin looks firm:

• Add 1–2 tbsp of milk, almond milk, or protein shake
• Then hit Re-Spin

6. Want It Thicker? Use Less Liquid

For a denser, premium scoop shop texture, reduce your starting liquid by 1–2 tablespoons.

7. Add Mix-Ins at the End

Add cookies, candies, brownie pieces, fruit, or nuts after your base texture is dialed in.
Then run the Mix-In cycle.

8. Best Liquids for Texture

NutraChurn performs best with:

• 2% milk
• Whole milk
• Skim milk
• FairLife
• Almond milk
• Oat milk
• Coconut milk

Do not use water.

9. Increase the Protein per Pint

To boost protein without sacrificing texture, use:

• 1 cup of FairLife 50/50 milk
• 1/2 cup of blended cottage cheese (blend completely smooth first)

This increases creaminess and bumps the protein significantly.

10. Fixing Common Issues

Too Firm:
• Add 1–2 tbsp liquid
• Re-Spin
• Warm the sides for 10–20 seconds

Too Soft:
• Freeze 5–10 minutes before eating

Hard After Refreezing:
• Let sit at room temperature for a few minutes
• Use Re-Spin or Soft Scoop
